Meet The Team

Meet Yasmin Nazary, former British ICO Champion and x2 Stadium Belt Champion (basically, a really good fighter)! She is also the head coach at Nazary Nak Muay Thai in Hartlepool and promoter of the Petchying Muay Thai League!

With her very own story to tell, Yasmin has invested a lot of her time, voluntarily, to help support people in the community a from school work, private sessions, and group classes.

Meet Kai Leighton, founding director and CEO of The Mental Shift CIC! Kai is also 1/2 of the Love2Fight Muay Thai show, 1/2 of the Fight Emporium store, and an avid supporter in Muay Thai for Mental Health!

With his own story to tell, struggling with his mental health from a young age, Kai has experiences in both the benefits of Muay Thai, as well as starting, growing, and running a charitable organisation!

I’m thrilled to be an ambassador for The Mindful Project, I have benefited in so many ways much deeper than just physical fitness from Muay Thai and it’s great to be part of something which aims to support women through Muay Thai

Hi, I’m Dani 👋🏼 a current UK ranked fighter, training & coaching at Sabai Warriors in Ashington. Muay Thai has helped me so much personally and I’m passionate about helping others to feel strong, confident and happy too through training. 

The Mindful Project is a fantastic initiative and I’m proud to be an ambassador for a project that will help so many women and girls in need of support.

I am very happy to be involved in being an ambassador for The Mindful Project as both my parents suffer with depression and anxiety and sadly I have lost numerous family members due to mental health, so it would be great to try and make a difference anyway possible.
